Loot & Links - June 2010

This post will be more loot than links. I have had an incoming flux of books over the course of last week. I am very excited to be adding all of these great books to my collection (of course my husband is outraged and wonders where all these books are going to go since my shelves are full)!

I made an impulsive purchase at Barnes and Noble's website the other night. No particular reason other than I want these books and don't have them. Plus, getting to a books store has just not been in the cards for me.
Ironically enough, all the books I bought were from Berkley Publishing. I just noticed that today and did not plan it. I wonder what that says about me!

Naked Edge has been getting good reviews. Here is one by Jane at Dear Author. Tracy highlighted The Forbidden Rose in her weekly post and had great things to say about it. Hilcia had great things to say about Magic Bleeds.

I also have been receiving quite a few books from paperbackswap, the used book online swapping club.

I checked these two out from my library.

I am in the middle of reading Silver Borne right now and it is sooooo gooooood!!!!  Honestly, I didn't want to take time out to write this post because I wanted to keep reading, LOL.  But I haven't posted anything since Monday and have been such a total slacker when it comes to my blog this week.

So you see, I have a lot of really great reading ahead of me.  If my posts are few and far between, now you know why, LOL!!

Don't worry, I have plans to review everything.

We really need 36 hour days don't we - with only 6 hours devoted to sleep, maybe 5 hours devoted to work and the rest to family and reading. I haven't read that many on your list - but Married by Morning and Naked Edge are both excellent!!

Kristie - Yay!! I am glad to hear you liked Married by Morning and Naked Edge. I can't wait to get to them. Like you said, I wish I could devote so much more time to reading, LOL!

I absolutely adored Naked Edge. So good! On my list from your new stash is Married by Morning, Never Less than A Ladt, and Fade to Midnight. I have to get it from my library, too. I don't buy HC.

Loads of good reading ahead of you! Enjoy :)

This is definitively a good loot, Jill :D

I hope you enjoy Magic Bleeds. I thought it was awesome :D and it's worth to wait a little if you can get books like Married by Morning and Savor the Moment through paperbackswap!i mean, seriously, total score LOL.

Lori - Yeah, did you notice that I got the hard cover books from my library. They are just so darn expensive. If I do love the book, then I will go and buy it in paperback if I have to own it.

Nath - I can't wait to read Magic Bleeds, I have been hearing good things about it. Yeah, I can afford to be patient with new releases because I have so many books sitting in the TBR pile.

Some good books there :) I have only read Silver Bourne (really enjoyed it) and Savor the Moment (cute story). Hope you love them all!

@ Jill. I heard that the Mercy Thompson books were more UF than romance but is there still a strong romance in the story? I've read Alpha and Omega and have Hunting Ground on my tbr but I haven't delved into MT yet....

Kaetrin - Oh, I first started with Mercy and I loved her series then went on to read the Omega books. There is definitely strong romance in the series, although not really any explicit sex. There is a love triange up until the third book, when Mercy makes her decision between Adam and Sam. I would highly recommend this series. Here is a link to my series post: http://romancerookie.blogspot.com/2008/12/series-sunday-mercy-thompson.html
